Father's Day 2018

Well, many weeks in between blogs...here is the result of Regan's science fair project. These are the blue raspberry lemonade ones.
She also did Coke flavored (pictured above), grape, orange, and mango.

Then she created Regan's Celestial Juice that she might one day offer in a restaurant :)
Katherine was feeling quite motivated and asked if she could make a cake.  I said sure and this is her creation.  It tasted wonderful!
She even did the inside rainbow colors!
And I CANNOT complain about how SPOTLESS she made this kitchen!!  I sent the picture to her daddy and he said, "I'm so happy I could cry." :)

Just walking around with her bun half in half out.

Fitz found a comfy place in a bag under Regan's desk.
And then he made himself quite at home on top of the world...haha!
WE are still working on getting the dogs and the cat used to each other.  Scout really doesn't mind the cat, but Shadow thinks he's the newest chew toy...so we are taking it slowly.

Hold on a second, Benjamin, let me pose for the camera.
In the kitchen again...this time it was banana bread! Ahhhh, mmmmm :)
It's that time of year...sudden monsoons that last for hours! We (me and three of the kids) got caught in a storm with only one umbrella and about four big bags of groceries.  Hudson and Lauren decided it was easier just to get wet and change when we got home.  I think they had the right idea.  I was nearly as wet as they were and I had the umbrella!
Regan was invited to a coaches only training with some the highest level taekwondo masters! She was beyond excited.
These are some of the photos they took during the 3 day training (9am-5:30pm) They practiced perfecting certain moves, but what Regan like most was all of the self defense scenarios and getting to flip people that were bigger than her :)
This was the group photo.
Regan is in the back right hand corner of this picture

After this day of training, I asked Regan how it went  and she said with a HUGE smile, "Painful but awesome!"  I guess this picture speaks for itself ;)

The girls get excited anytime we have a package delivery.  These two happened to be stuff I ordered online...
Yes. I ordered a block of cheese!  It took two days to get to us and was surrounded by cooling packets  (that weren't very cool anymore), but it made it and we have been enjoying having cheddar around the house.
I went out with Katherine to find some important supplies for Jonathan's secret Father's Day present, and we passed by this flower.  She had to have a picture.  It is pretty.
We went across town to a store called Chef Depot.  It's really a restaurant supply store, but I knew she would enjoy going in.  She said that she wanted to buy this pot for her daddy and he could fill it with spaghetti :)
And don't forget the ginormous wok
Afterwards, we escaped the heat for a few minutes with a surprise DQ treat.
She said she wanted the large!
We saw a lady sitting at a table with a sugar glider just sitting on her shoulder.  After they got up to leave she put it in her shirt pocket.  WE saw them walking around and asked if Katherine could see it.  She told Katherine that everyone was getting them these days and she could order one cheap on the internet. Oh dear.  I think we have enough! ;)
More pictures fro Regan's special training days....I like these because they all have my baby in them ;)
Apparently this Korean master never does poses like the others do, but he asked if Regan would do some.  The other coaches were a little jealous of the heart picture below...haha!

They called Regan up and asked her to translate.  The Korean masters only spoke English and Korean. She was a little nervous.  I understand.  It's hard to go from one language to the other especially when so many technical terms are involved.  I think they saw it made her nervous and left it up to the main guy to struggle through.
Look at that smile!
The Korean masters brought 10 special lapel pins to give out, and Regan got one of them.

Regan made some new friends

It's almost time!  Lauren had dress rehearsal this week for her performance.  I was trying to take some pictures through the window. I can't wait to see the real deal, not through a window.

Hudson loves this hat! He wears it almost every day.
His other grin. I can't believe how big he's getting!
This is another picture I snapped through the window.  The girls were learning a dance on the tippy toe shoes (my name...don't worry, I know that they are pointe shoes)
Mamaw and Papaw arrived just in time to celebrate Father's Day!  Mamaw couldn't believe that Katherine was as tall as her now! Katherine loved it, of coarse!
Papaw and Hudson
Papaw and Benjamin (he is nearly as tall as Papaw, but not quite)
We went for a night walk. It was fun.
When we got back Mamaw had tons of goodies she had brought from Malaysia! Cereal, Cake mixes, Oreos, muffins, and more! What a surprise!
This was one of THREE FULL games of Monopoly!!!  This is Hudson's favorite game and all the kids love playing it with Papaw...even if he tries to make unfair trades ;) haha!
Regan working hard in the kitchen for her Father's Day surprise...
Red Velvet Brownie Cheesecake....delicious.
Jonathan and his dad....Father's Day lunch :)
It's the first time we have taken all the kids to the Indian restaurant.

It was so good!!
We didn't realize that we matched until after lunch.
Riding in a taxi home after buying a bunch of milk...we actually didn't need so much right away, but I misunderstood Regan when she said she needed 2.5 cups of milk I though she meant per milkshake that she was making not total! haha!  It was all goo though because we had plenty of cereal to eat! Also, notice the seat belts...our city has a new seatbelt law.
Papaw took the kids swimming, but by the time I got down there, these were the only two still left in the pool.

We got the straws for the cookies and cream milkshakes at the Chef Depot :)
Mamaw loved buying ice cream for the kids.  Hudson enjoyed his blueberry popsicle.
Fitz met Brownie the hamster...The hamster enjoyed his ball and the cat was terrified. HA!
And then Katherine couldn't stop laughing because the hamster wore himself out and fell asleep completely flat in the ball!  I told her that she should let him go rest in his cage.
Playing on Mamaw's iPad
Mamaw and Hudson :)
Mamaw, Lauren, and Hudson
The kids got up early every day to walk with Papaw.  They walked/hikes several miles a day.  The girls made the morning hike up the "mountain"

They said the views were great...even if they got rained on on the way home ;)
 Katherine is so strong! ;)
 Exercise Island

Mamaw, Papaw, and ALL the kids went on a night walk while I had some girls over to the house for a bit.

We really do love this city! :)
