This girl right here has had a really long wait to get into some kind of activity! Getting through red tape to be able to do things in Italy can be quite time consuming and draining. After 4 months of trying, we have medical certificates for Regan, Katherine, and Lauren to play sports!! (These certificates have to be issued by a very specific doctor.) Regan and Lauren were allowed to "try" volleyball while they waited, but soccer is a BIG deal in Italy. They wouldn't even allow her to step onto the field without the certificate. So we have a happy happy girl.
She doesn't haven't the uniform yet because they had to order it because she started "late" (even though we've been trying to get her in since September) She's the one in the hot pink jacket ;)
Oh! Our hearts were happy to "see" and talk to some old friends in China. It was Winter's birthday. Her mom woke her up so that she could say hi.
Yoyo joined the conversation a little late because she was in the shower and getting ready for bed :)

Lauren got a T-shirt from her volleyball class. She was super excited to tell me about it when she got home!
Hudson had field trip! He was super excited that they were going to rie the metro. He was gone from 8:30-4:00. They spent the day at an Etruscan Museum, at a park, and learning about some things in Rome.
So this was exciting!!! My friend offered to show me a fresh market where she shops for veggies for her restaurant. I've been looking for one of these! YEAH!
Regan went with us, too! We had fun shopping for dinner :)
Well, this pretty much sums up our Friday evenings...they are so worn out from the week that they just collapse and fall asleep. They LOVE school and their activities, but their poor little brains just need a weekend! :)

THIS was a happy day for Hudson! A youth group in the area invited our teenagers to go bowling. The youth leader has kids Hudson's age, so our whole family was invited to come! YEAH!! He's been asking me since we moved to Rome if they had bowling here. It is his most favorite activity outside of piano.

We ended up bowling guys against girls. The boys beat the girls the first round. Benjamin has his BEST game ever! He got a turkey and scored a 136! Great job!

We were all getting pretty hungry so we splurged and ordered a snack...a basket of fries and a basket of wings and fries. It was literally the most American food we have had in all of Italy. HAHA!
Regan helped us win the 2nd round!
She scored a 151....YEAH!!! Everyone seemed to do a little better on the second round, but she did fantastic! :)
Afterwards we walked to a pizza place for lunch. To get there we had to walk across one of the famous bridges in Italy.
Truthfully, I will have to come back and edit the blog when I remember the name :)

We all got distracted by watching a beaver swimming in the river. We even saw his home that he built.

Ok, I admit. My eyes were watering, too, and Jonathan couldn't get his eyes to open no matter how hard he tried :)
So, I didn't take a picture of the pizza because well, it looks like every other pizza in Rome, but this was the first dessert pizza we have seen...and it was DELICIOUS!
