The Big Day

These three asked if they could go swimming. I didn't want to go because it was really windy and had been raining for a few days.  The kids quickly found out how cold the water feels after a few days of rain...haha!
They stayed in the big pool for a bit then moved over to the smaller and warmer pool with the jets :)
They all enjoyed having it to themselves.
Regan was off to taekwondo in her new T-shirt.  The black shirts are mostly for the coaches, but have given them to a few kids.  They actually ordered another batch so that she could have one.  She was very happy (and I think it looks really nice).
This girl can't stay off her toes ;) She just has to dance.
And this just made me laugh...he's 13 and still photo bombing her dance pictures with dance moves of his own...haha! I couldn't stop laughing because 1. she had no idea and 2. I kept remembering the time I was recording her at about 3 yrs old and he came out in his pjs dancing right behind her.
He then decided that Scout liked being a ballerina.  They are such good dogs.
We were finally able to manage getting violin lessons for Regan!!  I am so happy that she is finally getting to take! She's been wanting to for a VERY LONG time and has been patiently waiting.  She did well for her first lesson.  The teacher said that she could teach her faster than most kids. Good job!
Sweet Gracie.  Her old cat tower just completely fell apart last year and I never replaced it.  I found this cute little wicker cat house and she loves it!
The littles will be back next fall...they are off for the summer :)  They had fun racing to see who could put the months in the correct order.
Well, she probably loves dancing too much and twisted her ankle making up a dance in her room.  Not the best timing with her big performance right around the corner, but a few days of rest, ice and some ibuprofen and she was back to normal by the weekend.  No taekwondo this week.
These two crack me up.  They have very similar personalities as far as what things they think are funny, etc.  Well, Katherine discovered Mad Libs and...
 ...they could not stop laughing!
Katherine spent her own money for a HUGE bottle (1 Liter) Coke...I guess if it's all hers ;)
Fitz needed a place to climb and I found a great deal for $15...however, we had to figure out what pieces went where...no instructions.
I think we did well, and Fitz likes it!
You can't see me if I hide behind the little house.
Benjamin wanted to see how much he weighed if he was holding Katherine and the dog.
Here it is! The big day has arrived!  The first picture at the gate that I was not allowed to enter...it says Actors Only.
As I was leaving, the make-up crew arrived! There were a ton of them!
Her first big stage performance needed some after performance flowers, so we found these at the market...yellow, her favorite color
We were only allowed to have 3 tickets, but at the VERY last minute, someone gave us some extra tickets!!  We had some happy kids!
This was the official ticket and the program (only her teacher is showing in the picture).  Our seats weren't the best, but we had a great time! (balcony, 9th row, seat 42)
The girls and I sat together.
Ayi and Hudson (Benjamin let Ayi go because she really wanted to see it and Benjamin was just as happy seeing pictures later...and watching a movie at home)
Jonathan had a seat by himself. He was as far back as you could get and right in the middle!
 Backstage
Lauren on the far left...this was as good as we could get and that's with Regan's good camera...my phone you could only see little dots ;)
 again, front left
I love this one of her...her form was great!
Back left.  They were so excited that their dance had a professional in it for the last 1/4.
She changed backstage.  I love this picture.  It was hard to get a good one, but she was glowing afterward....And the kiss. LOVE.
When I dropped her off at 12:30 (performance started at 8:00pm) she thought only 3 of us were coming.  She was thrilled that most of us got to come! One more ticket and we all would have been there :)
 A girl and her daddy

Outside the seashell building after the performance was over.  Oh, the reason she is so excited about this is because she has said that it's her dream to be able to perform here.  It's the Opera House for this area...the equivalent of TPAC in Nashville.
One of the other parents had close seats and got this picture!
 Reading a book backstage
All the performers came out for an encore dance (that was done well) to the Pirates of the Caribbean theme song and than all ran out for one last wave! So fun!
These two went on their first solo trip!  They flew to Taiwan for a summer camp.  They aren't back yet, but I'm sure they are having a great time.
Gracie got sick right after they left.  She wouldn't eat, drink, and could barely walk.  Long story short, and many tests later, including this ultrasound, it was determined that she had a blocked intestine.
She had to stay there the entire week.  Poor baby.  She came home today and is very happy.

posing for a helper backstage :)

 Are you my mother?
Since the older two are away having fun, the younger three decide Pizza Hut sounded like fun.

And then we just had to have movie night in Mommy and Daddy's bed! :)

We went to another city to visit my friend, Hillary, and her baby, Joseph.
Hudson said he didn't know if he really wanted to hold the baby, but he thought he was cute and looked like him :)

They definitely kept him entertained! And hopefully, not overstimulated! They just love him so much! :)
He was making the cutest faces at me.
 first selfie

 So many faces :)

Katherine enjoyed this part of her big brother and sister being a camp....she got all of their chicken wings! :)
And finally! Hudson was sooooo excited that his fish had babies!! He's been wanting one of his fish to have babies, but it's always one of Katherine's fish.  Boy did she have babies though...40 of them!!
