Hudson has been counting down the days until his birthday! On November 1, he turned 13 years old!
He wanted a city skyline theme, so Katherine made him these awesome skylines to decorate with.
I love that she put the city name under each one.
November first is a holiday in Italy, so he had no school. We wanted to celebrate him on his real birthday and not just have cake at his party the following weekend. So, we had some cupcakes at lunch.
He decided that he just COULD NOT WAIT until his party to open his gifts, so we let him open all of them :) In this picture, he is flipping through a coupon book from Lauren for free snacks and drinks at the store.
This one was from Katherine. If you know Hudson at all, you know that he loves anything and everything LED. She got him an LED shower head. It's the perfect gift for him...but maybe not for us...how will we get him out of the shower? :)
He forgot that he gets money on his 13th birthday.
To say he was excited about the money was an understatement! :)
Mamaw got him some nice new clothes to go with his money.
He got a scroll from Granddad to practice his Chinese characters on. He has really been wanting one of these! You write on it with water and it disappears when it dries. He can use it over and over and over again.
We went out for dinner that night to celebrate. He asked for Chinese all you can eat.

He opened presents from his friends. They went in together and got him 2 gifts...a 3D puzzle and
new gaming headphones.
Ascanio was his friend from the school last year, but he switched schools for middle school. He was able to make if for the party at the house, but had to skip paintball because he hurt his knee.
The next morning, Katherine and Hudson worked the puzzle of the Colosseum.
