Our Little Home

So, we have had a few requsets to see our little home. Some of the pictures may not be the greatest, but it is an attempt to show where we live. This is the outside. The kids call this the bridge. We live in the upstairs of this house, so you are looking at our front door.

This is the girls' room. Regan and Katherine share this bed and Lauren has the Pack and Play at the foot of the bed.

This is an attempt to show you the hallway/kitchen/Benjamin's bedroom. Yes, right now he sleeps in the hallway next to the kitchen table. I think he kinda likes it to some extent, but will be glad to have a room in a few months.

This is his bed in the background, and well, Katherine randomly decided to hang out in the trash can.

I never new it was possible to literally fall asleep standing up, but my child has done it and this is my proof.

This is the couch in our living room. The kids dressed themselves for bed....Benjamin decided boys don't need to wear a shirt to bed, Regan had the princess gown, Katherine wanted to wear her "ribbitt dress" so bad (we agreed if she put some pants on to stay warm), and Lauren...ok we dressed her :)

This is the desk next to the couch in the living room. The kids like to color here.

Then, acroos from the desk is the Christmas tree and the rocker. Yes, we put the tree up early. I think this is the first time I have decorated before Thanksgiving, but we realized that if we wanted to get it up now was the time...December is looking quite busy.

Here's our little man in the kitchen. He occasionally get the urge to wash dishes, and I'm not complaining. He actually does a pretty good job. As one of Regan's friends said, "Your kitchen is the size of my piano!" Well, she's not far off, but it has everything we need. Sometimes I do ask one of the kids to get into the fridge for me because it can be quite the acrobatic feat to get some things out. It's a tight squeeze, so our new rule is only 1 person at a time in the kitchen :)

The kids had fun with the leaves in our driveway.

Here is a shot of our bathroom. It's actually not of the bathroom, but at least they are standing in the bathroom. Little Lauren was getting nice and clean before church.

I just like this picture of the girls so I put it in here. There is no story behind it besides the fact that I'm very blessed to have 4 great kids!

Lauren was hilarious eating her veggies. She kept biting the spoon and would laugh when we tried to take it back out.

Katherine putting on her ornament.

Regan and Benjamin trying to put their ornaments on as high as they could reach.

And finally, here we are doing devotionals at the end of the day.

Family and Friends

How can you resist this cute little face? Lauren is now sitting up on her own, and she can get around now, although I wouldn't exactly call it crawling. She is enjoying her new found talents.

We spent some time with Emily, Mamaw, and Papaw and had an early Thanksgiving meal. Emily and Mamaw fixed more than enough for everyone. The kids had fun with all the open space to run and play outside of Emily's place.

We made our way to the playground and tried out all the equipment. Swings are always more fun when you are pushed "super high" (Benjamin said he went so high that he almost made it up to God)

My competive little athlete found a basketball and enjoyed showing off her skills. Once again, I was impressed at how many times she got it in.

Katherine was having fun as well and her hair shows it :) Her phrase for the day was "hangin with daddy" Too cute.

The twisty slide was a hit with everyone.

Oh, to be this flexible. Mamaw brought this cute outfit home for Lauren and it was adorable on her.

The kids also spent some time with their best friends Kayla and Nathan. Benjamin told someone the other day that he had one brother and three sisters. I couldn't convince him that he and Nathan were not brothers. The girls did lots of dress up and art and the boys rode bikes.

Sweet Memories

This week as been one of sweet memories for us, the many years spent at Calvary and the ones we are making every day. We are reminded of all the friends we have and how much each one of you means to us. The times here at Calvary have shaped our lives in so many ways.

This week we enjoyed being with family and friends and just enjoying the beautiful weather.

The kids rode their bikes in the parking lot and made their way to the sand box. They had so much fun building castles and tunnels. I, of coarse, had fun watching and trying to get as much sand off as possible before we went back into the house.

I hope the weather continues to be so nice so that we can have MANY more fun days ahead!

Well, and as you can see, it was just a little too much excitement for miss Lauren. She fell sound asleep in the rocking chair. I couldn't resist the picture opportunity before putting her to bed :)

A Week of Fun

Well, the week started off with the dedication of Lauren at church. It was a very special time for our family. She slept for most of it, but we still managed to get the snapshot just before she fell asleep :)

Monday we went to Chuck-E-Cheese with the kids. They have been wanting to go for a long time. Truthfully, I'm not sure who had more fun, us or the kids.

As you can see, Katherine was very good at winning tickets. It was a great family time and, believe it or not, it was NOT crowded.

Regan and Benjamin (aka Tinker Bell and Buzz Lightyear) then got to go to a party at their gymnastics where they had free play, games, pumpkin decorating, and a costume contest. Regan won best costume for the girls. Benjamin's favorite part was getting to "fall in style".

Lauren was dressed as piglet for Halloween and Katherine was Minnie Mouse.

We did go trick or treating even though it was raining, but we did not stay out for long. It was nearly impossible to keep everyone under an umbrella. They were just too excited about all that candy.

Because everyone was wet and cold, we went to Jenny's house for some hot chocolate. There we talked and watched a little Tennessee football.

And finally, we went to "the fire place" for some rice. Wasabi's is Benjamin's favorite place to eat because he likes the show that goes along with it. The kids like to practice using their chopsticks here as well. This will come in very hand soon!
