January Happenings

Regan and Benjamin have continued enjoying taekwondo twice a week. Master Eun wanted a picture of Regan and the other two second degree black belt ladies in the class.
Hudson enjoyed buying a Starbucks mocha frappuccino (gift from his big brother)
Do you see??
The dog blends in perfectly with Regan's blanket :)
Shadow's new favorite spot.
They are so cute!!
Shadow's new favorite toy...an empty water bottle
Hudson lost a tooth during dinner!
This dog is just a little spoiled.
I believe this has to be one of my favorite pictures! Look at the head tilt!
Falling asleep while standing up
Busy doing school
The girls and I got to invited to a friend's house to make some Thai food.
Look at all the fresh herbs
homemade spring rolls
We got a phone call saying that our kitty had arrive (We had no idea that she was on the way) She was delivered by bus from New York. WE picked her up at the asian market at 3:45a.m.!

Poor kitty. She was so happy to see us.
She got lots of lovin' before we drove her down to Atlanta to her new home. My sister, Kim, is keeping her. I'm glad to know that all of our animals are now being cared for and being loved.
I found these two girls outside eating the last of their Chinese snacks. Benjamin the photo bomber ;)
Well, Lauren had her doctor visit for her foot pain and then sent for PT. Here's a picture of some of the results...these lines on her feet should be straight. It turns out that she is flat footed and has pronated feet, causing foot pain, ankle pain, knee pain, and right hip eversion. Yikes! Glad they can fix all of this with some orthodics and physical therapy.
I'm not sure how I never noticed the curve in her leg.
After we dropped Gracie off at my sister's house, Regan and I stopped at Cracker Barrel for a mother daughter brunch.

While daddy's away...my kids do the cooking! How could I be so lucky! The girls decided to make Chinese one night...YUM!!!
Katherine made alfredo (and might have just beaten her daddy at his own recipe) Benjamin made corn dogs.
These crazy dogs :) This can't be comfortable...haha!
Now, they both like this spot. My little guard dogs.
This is a happy shopping cart at the asian market.
Lauren found some Chinese candy. She couldn't resist and spent some of her money.
Hudson made little pizzas for his turn to cook.

I helped him put them in the oven :)
Cooking her Chinese meal...the only kind of green beans
She asked for Chinese sausage and prepared it herself. Glad she paid attention when Ayi was teaching her.
Meal prep
Hard at work
boiling the tomatoes so she can take the skin off to cook the eggs and tomato dish
My dinner plate. Delicious.
The babies want a treat.
Cupping, American style! (part of her PT)
While waiting for Regan and Benjamin to finish taekwondo, Shadow went to town on the ice in my cup.
Regan's final project for her art class...she had to combine an instrument, fruit, flowers, and time using surrealism. I'm sure she got an A :)

Christmas at Grandmommy's

The dogs like when I sat in this chair.
Aunt Joyce opening her gift.
Grandmommy opening her presents.
A little birdie
Grandmommy replaced Regan's taekwondo belt holder that she had to leave behind.
Cute puppy shirt
Star Wars figures for his video game

A lamb calendar
And a little Precious Moments

The look of surprise...
The one Precious Moments on her Christmas list was one that they do not make anymore and is difficult to find to buy, but mom had one and gave it to her. It's a little girl and a deer.

Hudson got an Echo Dot. He is loving playing music whenever he wants now! (And I like that I can set a sleep timer on it and it turns itself off)
The dogs really enjoyed that the kids beds were on the floor.
And Shadow snuck in my room and took over Jonathan's side of the bed every time he left to get his shower. Too funny! And he ran away as soon as Jonathan got back :)
Lauren and Grandmommy making candied pecans.
We played several games while there. The kids really enjoyed the Scattagories game.

We went to see the lights in town. Since we weren't allowed to get out of the car, mom decided to get everyone a milkshake. The dogs had their very first pup cup. They loved it! They are getting just a bit spoiled!!

The kids liked the ants carrying the candy cane.
And they liked the diamond ring shooting from the canon and landing in the gift under the tree.

Every morning after their walk...this is where the dogs ended up. We have all enjoyed sleeping in and staying up late. It's been a good break from school.

Benjamin and Tyler really enjoying talking via FaceTime and playing card games long distance.
My view during our family game.

The kids decided that they wanted to rake the leaves in the backyard.
Regan wanted to enter a pie making contest. She has never made a pie before, but this one looks pretty good!
We don't know the results of the contest yet.
Grandmommy told them that she would teach them how to burn the leaves.
They worked hard...and loved it!!

They added this big log and some smaller sticks to that they could have a decent fire going to roast marshmallows on later.
The smoke bothered Hudson, so he went inside and got his mask.

When the kids think of visiting Grandmommy, they always think of this meal...fried chicken, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes, and fried okra.

This was Regan's finished pie!! Doesn't it look amazing! It is a vanilla chocolate flavor with mini chocolate chips and crushed candy canes inside. The crust is an Oreo crust.
Well, we waited just a hair too long to come back out with the marshmallows. All that was left were simmering ashes. It was still plenty hot to roast, but the Katherine likes to catch hers on fire before she eats it.

Grandmommy with her grandkids (and grandpuppies)

These last few photos are from Jonathan's phone...so they are added in out of order.

We have had a wonderful Christmas break!!! Now, back to work tomorrow!
