Happy 70th Birthday, Grandmommy!

We had a good time celebrating Grandmommy's birthday. The kids wanted it to be a full out party, so we bought a cake, balloons, and they wrapped every little gift :)

Grace sent some gifts for Mom. I love the shirt she found! "The best Grandmommy on earth"
She asked for Pecans. My sister sent her 2 bags and I bought her 1 bag.
Kim gave her some bath and body stuff.
Katherine made this apron while we were still overseas just for Grandmommy...pineapples on top, watermelons on bottom
Each of the kids drew her a picture.
Happy 70th birthday :)
The baby deer came to eat the flowers...it was so cute!
Hudson thought it was hilarious all of the frozen snacks that Grandmommy got for the visit.
Fresh veggies! YUM!
Hudson picked out a watermelon (his favorite!)
Katherine and Lauren rode bikes down the street and had so much fun. They haven't gotten to ride bikes for months!
Look at all the dear!

Knoxville Days

I love how the kids are crafty and come up with things to do on their own. Katherine decided that she was tired of wearing disposable masks. So, she made one (correctly) by herself! It was so cute! She didn't even tell anyone what she was doing.
Regan has decided to take up crocheting. Her first experiment with it was to make a butterfly. If it were me, I would have started with a straight chain, but not Regan. :)
We spent an entire morning looking for, locating, and trying to figure out how to help this dog. He was barking nonstop for HOURS before we found where he was trapped. He fell down into this window well. Katherine wanted to get down in there and help him out, but I said no. I'm not chancing a dog bite. So, we called animal control and they were able to get him out.
He was so pitiful. He was hungry, thirsty, and scared. He was also blind, which was another reason for her NOT to try and help. He actually didn't snap at animal control until after he was rescued from the pit.
Regan has now decided to make this pretty patterned blanket.
Jenny asked me to travel with her to take M. to a doctor's appointment at Vanderbilt. She didn't want to drive all that way alone. So, rode trip. On the way back, we broke down. Thankfully, we were able to get the van off the interstate before it broke down in front of a Mercedes dealership (at 4:45pm) Long story short. They asked us to come in, fed us snacks and drinks, and replaced the battery and alternator FREE of CHARGE! They said that they just wanted to help us out since we were stranded!
The younger 3 kids helped Emily with a community garage sale. They had a blast! Benjamin was doing schoolwork and Regan was taking the ACT.
They got to eat breakfast and lunch with Emily...and BONUS, Emily paid them each a dollar an hour for helping!! They were some super happy kiddos!
The package from Grace came! The kids were so excited to see what she sent! She drew this adorable picture of our cat, Gracie!
And this was Lauren's birthday card
She sent Benjamin a Pokemon shirt for a late birthday present.
Katherine had missed this in her packing, so Grace sent it.
Same here. Regan forgot about 5 pictures and a fox hand towel that got set down next to the bag but never made it in. They have such good friends!
WE were able to Skype with some other friends. They were checking on the apartment an d decided to Skype. The little girls put a sticky note on Grace that says "Save for Regan" She looks so happy. I'm glad we got to see our friends and the "babies" :)

4th of July 2020

We spent the 4th with Emily. It was a fun filled day! We cooked out and made waaaaay too many kabobs. Hudson ate EIGHT! Yikes! I did good to finish 3....everything was amazing!
A day at Emily's usually involves chalk art at some point :) Benjamin had just started a tournament on his iPad that we had previously given permission for him to do. We didn't want to mess up his game so he is smiling in the garage for the family photo....haha!
all the girls....Kelly, Regan, Katherine, Emily, and Lauren
Enjoying the sunset, sparklers, and the fireworks going off behind us!

Hudson's favorite thing to do...hang out with adults and talk talk talk.
