Moving and Mother's Day

Well, we got moved in to the next house/city. It's an older home built in 1942. The kids have enjoyed helping me clean and landscape the outside (with permission). This is our "before" picture.
Hudson LOVED getting to learn how to check the oil! He's also super excited that Uncle Jimmy said that he can help him replace the engine in their car at home. The boy hasn't stopped talking about it!

We are so close to Auntie Em!!! We just had to come hang out for a bit :)
A little cozy book reading and sketching going on while Katherine attends her last online class for the semester...
poor girl...missing out on the fun...It's ok though. We let her pop her own bag of popcorn. She looks thrilled. haha.
 Love
I heard humming/singing and looked out my window to see this one busy busy busy. This is her happy place.
I went to Target and just couldn't resist ;) Flower comforter and bug sheets...the perfect Katherine bed.

Here's their supplies for landscaping. They picked everything out themselves. I'm counting this as my "Mother's Day flowers" :) I love them!
sitting with Emily on her porch swing/hammock
 Enjoying the weather
Making signs for the drive by Mother's Day parade at the nursing home.

 Linus was eyeing that cheese!!

Lauren wanted a picture by the yellow wreath (her favorite color)
 selfie dessert ice cream
 They have a plan!
It was raining, but they just didn't want to come in. Benjamin really wanted a rose bush. I said as long as he planted it. (I made them come in when it started raining too hard)
They brought Ma to the front for a quick picture with us in the background. She had the biggest smile!

Katherine was excited to find a hose. They have even cleaned out under the porch! It looks really good!
This just made me smile. They said the gloves needed to air out.
The kids are enjoying the swings nearby.
We saw the Moore's! I don't know how I only ended up with one picture! I guess because Bryan was outside playing. The others disappeared into bedrooms to either talk or play video games ;)
Mother's Day photos! The sun was shining in our eye. I couldn't decide which one I liked better so I posted all three.

Our house doesn't have internet yet, so we had church on the playground. It was a little chilly, but worked! Thankful that the church next to us is allowing us to use their wifi (we just have to be in a certain spot to get it)

This is where our family worshipped together.
Cards and gifts from the kids (Katherine, Hudson, Lauren on top...Regan on bottom) Benjamin isn't a cards kinda guy, but I know he loves me ;)
We went back to the assisted living place because they were allowing windows to be open. When we got there, they were allowing them to be brought out to the sidewalk for a visit if everyone had masks. YEAH for masks!
Lauren made her a card for the "greatest great grandmother"
 Ma with her great grandkids
 Ma with Emily and Jonathan

Just hanging out, talking, spending time together

We went to Home Depot with Emily to get a couple things for her yard. Katherine saw "her dream home" and wanted us to buy it for her. Any takers? haha! She even toured the inside and said it was "amazing"
 Decorating birdhouses for Emily
 putting the boys to work
lots of weeding about to happen
 Hudson's birdhouse
 Everyone working together

Rocco came over to visit for a few minutes. What a cute German Shepherd. He's so smart.
Hudson took my phone outside. WE could hear him saying, "Rocco, sit. Stay. Stay. Stay. Got it. Rocco, sit. Stay..." My phone was full of puppy pictures.
 painting more birdhouses
Planting a flower by the mailbox
 and one by the house
 Almost finished!
Time for some crazy fun games with Emily...
 We laughed so hard...
 Maybe even drooled a little...
 And cried a little...
 And made crazy faces...
 And laughed...
And made the best facial expressions... Lots of fun :)
Hopefully, next week I'll have a finished product picture of all of their work around the house.
They sure are having fun though!
