Summer Days - Finishing up June

Katherine and Regan went to the red carpet event for the World Premier of Mission Impossible-Dead Reckoning Part 1. We were on our way to church on Sunday and saw them setting it up. We didn't know what was going on. Monday morning it was announced that the event would be Monday Evening.

They had a great time and saw so many celebreties.
They said Tom Cruise even waved to them ;)
I knew they would be out in the heat waiting for the event, so sent them with some money to get a drink. They ended up not getting anything because they didn't want to lose their good spots. They went the next morning instead....Dragon fruit and Litchi with Passion fruit bubbles is the current favorite.
mid-June we took Benjamin to the airport. Last year he found a fantastic deal on roundtrip tickets to America. He bought them with his money and now is spending the summer in Knoxville.
So, we didn't get all of the pictures that we planned on because they would only let ticket holders into the airport at all. So we quickly said goodbye and got a photo.
We were invited out to eat with friends. Silas doesn't like pictures all that much, but we managed to get a partial smile because he was happy to be with the girls.
yum
Silas and Ruthie watching the birds take a bath
Benjamin arrived in Knoxville and was happy to be with Mamaw and Emily!
They decided to make S'mores
And looked very happy about it :)
Random car of the day in Rome, Italy
The other kids have all been busy with school, extra curricular activities, and friends...Regan has been working on a summer class and it was hot...so the two of us snuck out for an ice cream :)
Lauren and Eleanora singing, Hudson and Robert (Eleanora's dad) playing the music....they are practicing because they want to do some street performing.
Hudson had an outdoor piano concert
He did great!
He played 3 songs and was up there for nearly 10 minutes
His friend, Ascanio, congratulating him after he played. He hung around to see Hudson and then left.
We had pretty good seats to enjoy the music
Hudson laughing because Jonathan was singing along to one of the final acts...a mini band and they played an English song from Jonathan's high school days ;)
walking home
Katherine's little buddy
Jonathan enjoying playing with the kid toys
Family game night with the Swanns...they taught us how to play Caton. Regan won.
This little guy is fantastic. He reminds me of my niece, Grace, in the fact that he is so young and has a huge vocabulary and understanding! He always participates in anything we have. The craft we did (below) was filled with pretzels and 2 gummy fish (5 loaves of bread and 2 fish) He look at the gummy and said, 'My mom said that this will rot your teeth. (takes a bite) But it is really good!"
Showing me her work (and her sister's)
This guy cracked me up by turning his basket into a McDonald's fry container.
The set up that we saw on the way to church...
Happy Father's Day!! Regan made hime some donuts :)
Just missing Benjamin, but he called to tell his dad Happy Father's Day!
Regan also made dinner
Katherine's tomato plant has not disappointed! It just keeps growing tomatoes!!
Regan went to watch her friend, Sarah's, ballet performance.

These next ones are out of order...this was coming home from Lauren's performance. We were on the subway and Hudson was thrilled that he could sit in Lauren's chair (prop for one of the dances) on the way home.
In front of the Quirino Theater
Goodbyes and congratulations from her dance friends

Leah and her mom came to watch....they even waited around afterwards to give Lauren some flowers! The yellow roses were from Leah, the other bouquet from us.

A walk with Regan and Kai

celebrating no more school...hello summer!
She was super excited about the dance shirts that they were all given.
Hudson, Miss Mariana, and Ms. Martina (teachers from school)

Picked the kids up early from a field trip...there were some tears since it was her last official day of Italian school. She's going to miss seeing all of them every day

The park where I picked them up
Regan working on her paint by number...she finished it
These two have finally decide to "like" each other. Scout still prefers his distance most of the time, but they were super cute sleeping together.
Diana came back after a few weeks (she was in a car accident and couldn't drive) Scout was SOOOO excited and IMMEDIATELY jumped on the table and smiled (something he only gets away with when she is here...and he doesn't even try when she's not in the house)
So excited to see a packed house in the summer months!! This is travel season and numbers are typically pretty low....but we they had to bring out extra stools today!
Snuggling with Katherine
Doing a 5K together...Mamaw got first in her age group and Emily got 2nd and a personal record!

Enjoying some Cruze Farms in America!
