Twin Churches and More

These are some pictures from around Rome some of life with our friends before they left. This pleading little face!
We were at a mall and went into an electronic store. They had this electronic car that the kids got to "try out".

This photo made me laugh. I think Kai was either yawning or coughing, but he looks so mean here. All three puppies were wanting in the photo.
Enjoying a game of Chinese Checkers
Again, made me laugh...XJ bought an already cut watermelon, but part of it had gone bad. We ate the good part and threw the rest away. She wanted to get another one, but the date was old. So, she asked for the manager and used her app to talk with him. He said to bring the old one back and he will give her a new one. She said, "I'm sorry, it's already in our bellies and the trash." He gave her a new watermelon anyways. She told him that he was very kind and asked for a selfie so that she can tell her husband how nice Italians are.
XJ took lots of pictures around town that now seem every day to me. I wanted to post some of our "normal" streets/intercections.
Hudson used some of his saved money to do a virtual reality ride. He was so funny!
He loved it!!
We tried a new gelato store. My expectations were not high, but it was fantastic and good portions for the price!
The northern gate of the old city...Piazza Popolo
I helped Winter hold her hat...then the girls said we needed a selfie ;)
The view of Rome from Borgheses park
pretty flowers as we walk
a local library...
...you have to walk through the mouth to enter
Awe, a baby seagull cooling off in one of the many fountains
the street leading up to the Spanish Steps
Trevi Fountain
Homemade pasta for a good price...they are able to sell it cheaply because each day they only offer 2 options and it's only take away.

Eating our pasta on the street
Monopoly
Look at all of that gelato!
Katherine making popcorn for everyone!

A common site with our friends being here...they took everything off for each picture...coats, hats, bags, etc

Hey Ruthie, how's it going?

Castel Sant'Angelo
We have taken many people to St. Peter's Basilica, but I think this view was pretty cool this time. I have not seen the light coming in like this before.
I didn't realize until Regan came back that this is a super famous statue. Her art professors said they wanted to see a picture of of it. Now I know. I wonder how many people (like me) walk by it every day, not realizing they are walking passed a major piece of art.
Early morning coffee
Yoyo in front of the Pantheon
Selfie just before the phone fell out of the selfie stick!
This is a pretty picture spot
Whew! Any shade we can get in this hit!

Hudson loves his coffee!!
I guess you can cut my nails, but you will have to hold a limp dog to do it.
What?! How is this possible?! She just started her high school orientation!
We all said "yes" to the cream on top so that Kai could have "gelato" too.
💕
He's completely worn out.

Katherine made her own candle complete with her self-designed label
I love you, Hudson!
Benjamin hanging out with Mamaw and Emily this summer
enjoying the balcony
Last day with Regan...so we took her out for a strawberry tiramisu
Love this one
And bonus! We ran into our friends, and she got to say bye to them as well...they happen to be Union alumni!
