Summer Comes to an End

This last week, we have all enjoyed one last week of summer.  Technically some classes started back this week, but we will be in full swing starting Monday.  Regan took a break from her book writing and decided to work on puzzles.  This was a 2000 piece puzzle that she has not done before.  It took her almost a week to finish it.  Then she moved on to several 1000 piece puzzles...so her floor is currently covered :)
My friend asked if she could read an English book for practice, so I let her borrow one of my favorite fiction books about Chinese culture and stories.  She couldn't put it down! Haha! She said it was so fascinating and that the Chinese books don't tell it in such an interesting way so that you can follow the story.
Joseph. Hillary's baby. He's getting big!
(No, it's not a skeleton) I was told it's a picture of Scout. Katherine insisted on looking up a recipe online to bake a treat for the dogs since it was their birthday.
They are officially 1 and the kids sand Happy Birthday to them :)
These were the dog treats she made. (We couldn't find our bone cookie cutter, so she did stars.) This girl LOVES the kitchen!
Since she made the treats, she got to give them.
 2 happy dogs
Lauren saved up her chore money and bought dried worms for her hamster. HAHA! HE was so excited over them, which made Lauren just as excited!
Well, we waited 8 days before seeing a doctor for her back.  I had been rubbing her back with oils and trying to help, but nothing seemed to be working.  She hurt it somehow (probably archery) and was in so much pain. She would be in tears several times a day, couldn't dance or bend forward backwards or jump, and was asking to try to sleep on the floor.  Let's just say, I'm amazed.  This guy worked on her back (massage and heat lamps) for an hour.  When we left, she was 98% better!
She said it was amazing! :)  We went back one more time and she is back to her usual dancing self.  Let's just say that the difference was so huge that we have had 4 friends notice and make an appointment!  Maybe we will get a discount next time ;)
We've been introducing the cat and dogs in a safe way first.  Lets' just say, the dogs are doing just fine and the cat has no feat.
We let the dogs out after this and they got chased by the cat. Too funny.  We are still watching them closely because I still don't trust Shadow 100% He's our dog that loves toys and fetch and tug of war...we really don't want a tug of war match with the cat in the middle!
 A girl and her dog
Lauren got a kick out of how tall I looked by these doors.
And she finally looked tall like her brother and sisters ;)
 Wherever she goes...
This is Lauren's music homework.  I never learned music this way, so she is on her own. This is their traditional way.
It's been a really long time since we have gone out to eat with Ayi.   They enjoyed taking pictures of each other while we waited.
One morning I went to wake the girls up because it was pretty late.  Oh, they were up. They had been laying in bed for ours talking and laughing. Love sister Time :)
Anyone want to guess who was getting a haircut?  Actually it was Hudson and Lauren, but this crowd is around Lauren. HAHA. I'm glad it doesn't bother her! :). We have officially found a guy we like though to cut hair (only took 2+ years)....so Benjamin is probably next ;)
The Littles are back!! I just love these kids. They are so much fun.  Happy start to their 2nd grade year!
Katherine started soccer again this week.  IT was quite funny because almost all of the kids outgrew their uniforms (the bright yellow one) So, they passed out new ones for next week and they all practiced in normal clothes this week.
