Finishing Up June (part 2)

The younger three got to go visit their school that they will attend in the fall. We were waiting in the hallway when one of Hudson's teacher's came and asked him if he would like to meet his classmates for next year (in Italian) He just hopped up and headed down the hall, no looking back :) He's going to have a blast next year. He told me, "My friends are so excited for me to come next year!"
Katherine and Lauren got a tour of the middle school wing.
This desk cracked me up...jacket, backpack, ukulele, and  motorcycle helmet :)
recess area
The kids thought it was hilarious that the birds were sitting on top of their heads.
We tried a restaurant called T-burger. It was pretty good (even though I got grilled chicken and not a burger)
Katherine's cheeseburger
Benjamin got chicken fingers
Kids Meal
Poor little dino...we discovered him on our walk home..haha
Before we left America we tried to send an envelope to our friends in China. It made it!!! YEAH! Now we know we can send something later on.
I like to run down to the pizza place near our ABNB to try out the different desserts. They have knew ones each day. The lady that works there said that this one is her favorite. It was better than I thought!
Regan fixing dinner again. She has been a huge help to give us breaks now and then...and her food is amazing!
Father's Day dinner (a day early)
The kids wanted to watch an episode of AGT auditions. Lauren is just like her daddy when it comes to those dare devil acts. You should have heard Jonathan screaming before the picture...he looked just like Lauren's face.
We wanted McD's...this was the line to get in!!
I think I want to go back to the touristy area on a weekend. These random handicrafts that people do and sell on teh street are always fun to look at.
We were invited to a cookout. The bus dropped us off and we started to follow GPS. Unfortunately, it was taking us through a university that was closed. All of the exits were gated and we couldn't get out. So, we had to figure out how to get down to the highway. It was an interesting trek, but we finally made it.
Be careful with all of the cacti sticking out into the sidewalk.
We really enjoyed the food and fellowship!
It brought back many memories to cookouts we had in Asia.
His favorite!
She was very excited about this dish.
Regan met several people her age there. It was really great!
On the way home from the cookout, we saw this place. Hmmmm. Not sure if I want to try this place or not.
Lauren made this card for her daddy.
A dessert for Father's Day. Yummy!
So, you are apparently supposed to wear gloves to touch the vegetables (this is not a covid thing)
Trying some more desserts...I like the donut looking thing in the upper right corner. THe bottom one tastes like a lemon pound cake.
This graffiti made me laugh.
The puppies got a much needed haircut! I felt very accomplished that I was able to find a way to communicate that I wanted to make an appointment and that I understood her instructions. I have a looooong way to go in language!
Puppy lookin cute
He's proud of his new haircut
We are have a tutor twice a week and homework to work on for the other days.
IKEA...6 feet apart in the elevator. Literally the biggest elevator I have ever been in (in the country that has the smallest elevators ever)
Regan said that Burger King and McDonald's in Italy have it figured out...they have wraps!
riding the metro
We were invited to someone's house. They invited Hudson and Lauren to swim in their kiddie pool. Their house was on the other side of town. It took a while to get there, but we had a good time chatting and getting to know each other.
So, we just barely made it back! This was the last train back into the city center.
This one was really struggling to stay awake.
It was a super late night...we were going as fast as possible to make sure we got on the last subway of the evening.
Thankful that we made it...we are all ready for bed ;)
We had to travel over an hour to get to a store that sells washing machines. WHile there, we got some lunch at the cafeteria. These trays are genius.
Meatballs, mashed potatoes, carrots, 4 cups of fruit, and 1 coke to share
We had so many washers to choose from!!! So thankful that they had the one we wanted in stock! I really wanted a dryer as well, but they were sold out. I asked if we could please buy the display...they agreed! YEAH!
The mall had a Lego store that the kids enjoyed looking in.

I guess you need a lot of space in between washing your hands.
The girls and I went exploring a different area. We took the train.
We found the beach! The water was clear, calm, and COLD!

The sand is a darker color, but super fine and soft!
We enjoyed searching for shells.
Lauren realizing that she could see all of the schools of fish.
They wished we had our swimsuits with us.
We still hung out for a bit and played in the sand.
Lauren is collecting "unique feathers"
Love the chairs and the shade. We happened to be here on the hottest day of the year so far.
Off exploring some more...cute area of town.
This statue reminded me of the Little Mermaid's dad, Triton.
The "castle on the beach" It's actually a fort on Nettuno Beach.
I like the ordering at McD's....you order, type your number, and they will deliver it to you.
We found a butterfly on a lavender plant.

In the afternoon, the calm sea had "waves" Katherine decided to jump over them.
I'm still not sur I  would classify these as waves

oops...Regan got a little wet

Shadow wanted to look out the window.
Katherine brought her skates from America. I let her unpack them early.
She let Regan have a turn also.
Katherine was super happy that we found popcorn!
walking to church

Just another picture of one of these little cars driving though town.
