Switzerland -travel Day (June 27)

For graduation we had told the kids that we planned to take them on a senior trip with one parent. They get to choose but we have a specific budget. So how long we go somewhere, what we do, etc. greatly depends on where they want to go and not all places will fall in the budget. When we told the kids, Regan right away said Switzerland. WE looked at price to fly there and it was already waaaaay over the total budget. Well, little did we know that God was going to move us to Italy. Guess what country is right next to Italy! We also booked plane tickets and an airBNB during the peak of Covid in Europe so prices were SUPER LOW! we were just hoping the countries would open up by the summer, and they did! You can see the happiness and excitement in Regan's eyes on the plane. (They gave everyone Swiss chocolate to eat)
Flying into Switzerland. The weather forecast was showing rain every day. While it did rain some and change our plans a little, God was so good to give us some extremely BEAUTIFUL days. It was also fun to see Switzerland in all the different types of weather. Even in the rain it was beautiful.
We arrived at the airport and ate lunch. I really couldn't wait any longer because I was starting to get a headache. Regan had some really good Indian food there!
We found our way from the airport to the train station. I bought my tickets on the app and off we went. It was so easy. The only thing I had to ask about was adding Regan's ticket when I purchased. It was an easy click and we were set.
We arrived in Lauterbrunnan...overcast but not raining...yet

Passing by this waterfall to get to the ABNB...it was actually in our backyard!

Our ABNB...we were the top left apartment.

The inside of our place. It was so nice...perfect for the two of us.
It even had a loft (We didn't use it but got a picture anyways)

The town

We were glad for signs like these when we were in new places. We grabbed some bread and fruit from teh grocery store for dinner and snacks while hiking. It started raining pretty hard on our way back to the ABNB but it was a good glimpse of the town before we settled in for the night.
