Katherine's 15th Birthday

It's always fun to make sugar cookies for the parties. I was so thankful for their help! I was debating on whether or not it should be a surprise or not, but decided that this was the way to go. We made cows, flowers, and pick up trucks. Some were decorated with sprinkles and others were cooked plain so that icing and sprinkles could be added during the party.
The puppies got a haircut and bath in preparation for the party.
They look so much better!
Katherine finished her school work early so that she could work on decorations for her party. She designed everything herself. This is her cornfield (also love that she has her chicken shirt on for the decorating)
Getting ready for school.
I love the new hoodies for their uniforms.
Aren't these just the cutest?
You can't have a farm birthday without a barn.
So happy

Katherine ran errands with me the morning of her party. We needed a balloon, plates, forks, etc.

I finished her cake...chocolate with cream cheese icing.
Martina and James came over straight from school. Nicole joined a little later.
They enjoyed icing (and eating) lots of sugar cookies.
She turned one of her car cookies into a cactus :) and her cow into a sheep

James asked Katherine to make one of her flowers into an egg.

A little Just Dance Wii
This is Jonathan. Every. Single. Birthday. He works so hard to give the kids homemade pizza on their birthdays. It's always a huge hit!
Scout was not lacking in the attention department.
Time for some presents...she saw these little beanies in America this past summer and commented on how it would be perfect to practice juggling. So, we all got her one ;)
Lauren made the cutes card for her sister.
watching his sister open presents
She asked for science goggles for her birthday!
Benjamin used his own money to buy Katherine a book series that she has been wanting to read. She is now on book 3 of the series "The Land of Stories"
James got her this Adidas backpack.
The girls went in together and bought her a DIY candle making set and some dried flowers that she can add to the candle.

Here comes the cake.

It's a good thing that she wasn't any older than fifteen and that we didn't have to sing Happy Birthday in 4 languages or we might have burned the cake down!
A sweet post from her big sister on Instagram wishing her a happy birthday from afar.
Happy Scout hanging out with Martina.
It's her actual birthday, and we saved her main gift for then!
I'd say it was huge surprise! Mamaw helped get her the sewing machine she has been wanting!! SHe had NO idea!
Love that the kids can use their creativity in so many ways!
Awe! They are just too cute! Lauren is stuck there. You can't get up and do things when he is so cute!
She planted her lantana plants (her favorite) on the balcony today. The one on the far left was planted last year and is doing great. These other two were for her birthday (We let her pick them out)
She made popCORN for her sleepover. They stayed up and watched a movie (well, I think they actually fell asleep during the movie, but still)

After school one day, we went out for Bubble Tea.
Bubble Tea is his favorite and we rarely get it, but he had had a particularly rough day at school and I thought this would help.
Lauren opted for a sweet treat instead of the tea.

I don't remember if he is checking his school email or working on homework, but regardless, he's a cutie.
