Eating with Friends

This week has been full of dinners and lunches with friends.  I thought we would spend our last 2 weeks here cleaning and packing, but we have been much busier than I thought.  We have had a blast but I think we are are in jet lag training...we have had some late nights and some tired kiddos.
I had to get the picture of the "pickled snakes"  I don't THINK we ate any ;)  The restaurant was actually VERY good.

This was the waiting area outside of the restaurant.  It was a great little place for the kids to walk/run around.  It was a pretty place.
We made a little road trip to another city to see some really good friends of ours.
We ate lunch with them and the kids went swimming afterwards.  They had such a good time.  Lauren looked so excited and said to me in the sweetest little voice, "Is this America?!?"  Ohhhh. No it's not.
They took us out for dinner and my kids were thrilled!  We don't have Papa Johns in our city, so the kids were beside themselves when they took us to eat pizza.
We got in back to where we were staying around 10pm.  I thought it would be no problem because the kids would just sleep in....boy was I wrong!  The kids got up at 5am!!  Since we were not in our normal home and the kids were already up, we packed up our things, went to eat breakfast at the bread store, and played at 2 different playgrounds before heading to the bus station.
Just waiting at the bus station for our bus to arrive.

Ayi took the kids to the outdoor market because she wanted to buy them something.  Lauren came home in her new shoes that go perfectly with her Tennessee cheerleader outfit ;)
We went to a park that had a huge boulder balancing on a little area.  I don't guess it will fall over.
Benjamin spent some time with his dog.  I'm not sure who is going to miss who more...Benjamin or Doggy Bones.
And we went to another friends house for dinner which turned into a Karaoke night....interesting.
Katherine woke up from her nap and school and was missing a tooth.  She found it in her cheek.  She quickly went and put it in her backpack because she was afraid that her teachers would not let her keep it.  She was not willing to chance loosing tooth fairy money!
We opened up our own refrigerator and found this guy staring back at us.  The kids get poking the fish to see if he was alive or dead :)  Ayi doesn't usually fix fish, but yet again....delicious!  I try all the time to explain to people that in America when we buy our meat it's always already dead and packaged for us.  They want it as fresh as possible here. :)
