Leading up to the 4th of July

Regan not only loves taekwondo, but she loves all the kids in it as well...and they LOVE her!
After many years of hard work...Katherine successfully finished reading 1,000 books!!! Her reward is an iPad. She's been waiting for this day to come for awhile. It's an investment on our part, but has been well worth it! Not only have they learned the value of hard work and perseverance, but it has given them a love for reading that they didn't have when they first started. Great Job!!
The younger kids finished their school just a little ahead of the older two kids. This freed them up to go play with friends! HayHay and KayKay just love Lauren and Katherine! They asked them to come swimming and play with them for the day.
The kids love when they get to go out with local friends because they always order different foods from what we pick out on the menu...and we usually love them.

The girls' mom took them all to an arcade and let them try to win stuffed animals.
Katherine gave her big one to Lauren because Lauren never won one.
After swimming they went ice skating.

Lauren got a message on another day from her best friend from kindergarten. They haven't seen each other in 4 years and the little girl was coming in for the summer. Lauren was soooo happy and even spent 2 days making this special slime as a gift for her.
Train tickets bought...on her way for a 3 day visit!
It was like no time had passed. The girls had so much fun!
One of my little English students bought me an entire case of these cute little apricots. Yum!
 Sunrises are so nice :)
These two teenagers have started SQUEEZING in on our bed for a little NCIS episode occasionally at night. Fun times :)
I went to pick up Lauren from her friend's house and we had lunch before we left.
The girls had so much fun that they asked it Chloe could come back to our house for a few days.
We had dinner with friends and Phinehas only wanted Katherine feeding him...haha! She's trying to feed herself at the same time ;)
He is such a happy boy.
 Phinehas and Katherine
We always have company :) This time all the kids are playing Just Dance on the TV
Pizza is always a favorite :). Chloe, Lauren, Vanessa, Grace, Katherine
After pizza, they went for another swim
Lauren and Chloe decided to make banana bread. Yum!
When the storms come, you find somewhere inside to play!
I took all the kids to the trampoline park....for FIVE HOURS!! We got our money's worth :)
K-Pop is huge here...hence all of the "hearts" in pictures. I used to think everyone was saying "more money" haha!
Regan took all of the group shots

 Benjamin and Rocky
Regan and Grace made dinner...teriyaki chicken, rice, and broccoli
The kids surprised us with a 4th of July breakfast!! Homemade cinnamon rolls, cream cheese icing, and the flags are made from paper towels and toothpicks (compliments of Katherine)
We also decided that watching Spider Man Far from Home was the perfect way to celebrate America :)
Benjamin claimed the roll of photographer so that he didn't have to be in the picture :)
