Fun October Weekend

Lauren and Hudson have some good friend sin the same family. We enjoyed getting together with them for pizza!
We then did a kids swap. Hudson had his very first sleepover (and was SUPER excited about it) and Haddassah came to our house. The girls wanted to jump rope, so they took a play out of Papaw's playbook and made one out if rubber bands.
Jonathan fixed Alfredo for our dinner. It was quite strange because several times I thought Haddassah was Lauren. They really look like they could be sisters!
Hudson and his two buddies, Caleb and Isaiah...We switched back kiddos at church on Sunday morning.
After church, we went to Emily's for her birthday party!
Lauren got her Fudge Brownie M&M's. The E out of popsicle sticks is from Hudson. The green bag underneath is handmade by Katherine.
The kids said that we HAD to get this shopping bag for Emily...."Super Cool Aunt, A Big Cup of Wonderful with a Dash of Sass" :)
The pillow was handmade by Lauren. The elephant sticker in the front is from Katherine also.
Regan made this popup card for Emily.

After the party, we carved our pumpkins.
Hudson thought it was very gross inside :)
Only the older two remembered how to carve one. It was fun to see them all get to do something that is such an American tradition ;)
Hard at work
Katherine went all out with her fun ghost design.

So a bird flew into our window at the house. We went out to look and it was upside down struggling to breath. It was very cold out that day, too. After several minutes, still nothing. So we looked up online what to do. The internet said it had a 50/50 chance of recovering if you could get them upright and place in a dark shoebox to let it warm up for at least 30 minutes. Success! Our little rescue bird flew away and I had some happy kiddos :)
Katherine couldn't stand it any longer. She went to Home Depot and bought herself a spade and cultivator.
We put our pumpkins on the bag deck.
