Flying Out

The week leading up to our flight was a crazy one filled with many things that could only be accomplished by God. Here we all are waiting for our PCR Covid testing. We had to have a negative PCR test 72 hours before LANDING, a negative at the airport in Atlanta, and another negative at the airport in Rome. Just for future reference...the PCR test has to be taken, sent off (to Nashville in our case), and sent back to the doctor's office in time to print off and take to the airport. We got our results back just before closing on the evening before we left.
We had to return our vehicle to Memphis four days before we left. Johns Sevier Baptist heard that we would be without transportation and added us to the insurance and let us drive the church van for a few days. It was perfect to fit all of our luggage!
It was literally the largest car I have driven! The kids could stand up inside and still have plenty of room. I had to really think when I was driving it about whether or not I had the clearance to get though certain places.
Hudson had one last lesson with Ms. Kathy. He just loves her so much!
So, for the puppies to be able to travel with us, they had to have a health check and their paperwork had to be sent to Nashville for authentication. It was being sent to our permanent address, but my dad was leaving at 8:30 on Thursday to come tell us by. It arrive at 8:27!! I really thought we were going to have to leave the dogs behind again, but they got to travel with us!
Scout, super relaxed
Granddad and Mammy arrived and we met them at Cracker Barrel for lunch.
Mammy brought each of the kids a small something to take with them and Granddad brought them candy :)
The boys got keychains and the girls got necklaces :)  so special

The cicadas have been loud! The kids went out to look for any shells left behind
I'd say the kids found just a few cicada shells ;)

We went for an Indian meal with Blake and Emily. Yum! We love Indian.
We wanted to try the mint ice cream sandwich...it was quite green
